A handcrafted chef's knife fusing Japanese geometry with European cutlery tradition.
The Ironwood Chef is the result of a meticulous design process that drew from both Japanese knife-making philosophy and European cutlery tradition. The blade is made from 52100 bearing steel — a carbon steel beloved by custom knifemakers for its incredible edge retention and ease of sharpening. A convex grind transitions to a fine hollow secondary bevel, producing the perfect balance between durability and razor-keenness. The octagonal stabilized ironwood handle is hand-shaped and finished with multiple coats of tung oil, bringing out the dramatic grain patterns unique to each piece. A mosaic pin and stainless bolster complete the fit and finish. Intended for the home chef who treats cooking as a serious craft.
